
It was announced that the large-scale meeting of representatives of the environment-oriented scientific community was organized under the auspices of the Internal Affairs Ministry. The big conference started with a ceremony where the current Secretary of the Ministry, Constantinos Nicolaides, performed. In his speech, he underscored the importance of issues related to mountain ungulates. He also said that there is growth in this direction judging on such wide scale gathering of world experts relevant to the protection of Ungulates inhabiting mountains in Canada, Cyprus, and from the Tibet and Indo-Gangetic Plain in eastern Asia to the Alps in central Europe.
According to the words of Constantinos, by virtue of exchanging ideas of participants of the Symposium and the Congress, they are able to produce many effective ways of preservation of animals who are verge on extinction. He added also that the Ministry of Internal Affairs took the initiative during the organization of the joint meeting of environmental and animal specialists because of the interest in the protection of nature and animals in particular.
Such huge unification of the Congress and the Symposium becomes possible only with participation of people aimed at the continuous development in the fields of nature conservation, environmental reproduction, animal nature research, zoogenetics, observations on the reduction and increase in population of Ungulates, and with adding of government and social structures. It is also expected the emergence of new methods in the management of agricultural and hunting. It will greatly help the introduction of totally new and supporting old methods for determining the needs of the animals and their subsequent natural arrangement resettlement areas.
