It is famous for its discovery of the “Idol of Pomos”, the best example of traditional Cypriot symbols of fertility. Pomos offers a tranquil environment from which to enjoy some of the most natural and untouched areas of Cyprus along with some of the most stunning island sunsets. The village has all the usual facilities and local amenities, with Polis a short drive away offering some larger facilities, and Paphos about 60 minutes away providing access to the nearest airport.
